LAUMAS #Run4Meyer: a solidarity relay race for the Pediatric Hospital

One step after another, to achieve a common goal together.

For the second consecutive year, LAUMAS competed in the Lenovo Relay Marathon, a solidarity relay race that is part of the Milano Marathon event, which is all about solidarity, companionship and team play.

Our employees were given the opportunity to participate in a team race, where four members of the same team take it in turns to run, covering a total distance if 42 kilometers.
The common goal is to complete the marathon within a maximum of 5 hours and 45 minutes.

We had the chance not only to spend a fun sports day together, but also to actively do good: in fact, we donated €1,000 for each participating LAUMAS team.

Out of the 85 official organizations in the Charity Program, once again this year we decided to support the Meyer Children's Hospital Foundation in Florence. All donations made will go towards supporting scientific research and will allow it to buy new technological equipment.

But its efforts go even further. With the Play Therapy project, the families af the little ones staying in the hospital can receive financial support and will find an environment offering greater comfort not only for them, but also and especially for their children: colorful walls, TV screens showing cartoons, children's furnishings, pictures, games and plenty of greenery.
